Jane Chapman was born and raised in Santa Barbara, Ca. She graduated with a BA from the University of California Los Angeles in 2005. Jane creates in her studio which is nestled in a canyon against the foothills of Santa Barbara. She is inspired by her love of humanity and the terrain of her hometown, the Channel Island dotted horizon of the Pacific Ocean and the soaring peaks of the Santa Ynez Mountains. Oil, mix media and collage are mediums she uses to explore through abstraction, the wonders of our natural world and the condition of the human spirit and self. Jane values, peace, curiosity, love and connection and sees herself as a forever student in the pursuit of these pillars.
