Karl Leopold Marley (1890 –1981) was an Estonian-born painter who later emigrated to Toronto, Canada, where he became known for his serene landscapes rendered in watercolor and oil. His work captures the delicate interplay of light and color — notably in pieces such as Tiskre rand (1938) and Maastik suvel (“Summer Landscape”). Beyond his artistic practice, Marley contributed to his community by founding the Free Congregation Church of Toronto in 1949. His paintings have appeared at auction and are admired for their quiet beauty and contemplative quality.
