Armando Farillas creates portraits inspired by images of himself, as well as friends and family. Drawing is central to his practice, guiding his work across dry point printmaking, watercolor, and mixed media. He enjoys experimenting with new materials and techniques, often combining processes to expand his mark-making and highlight his drawing skills. Influenced by his peers at the art center, Farillas continues to grow through collaboration and exploration. His work encourages viewers to notice the layering of different mediums, revealing how each process contributes to the final image.
