The works of visual artist Macarena Matte respond to a need to infuse the city with color. The central theme flows from architecture to abstraction through lines, thickness, and the transfer of planes; key characteristics identified in each work.
The connection between these two poles unfolds through a movement of colors, a kind of ribbon that allows us to understand the origin and destiny of a unique urban narrative.
Transparency is used as a technique that allows us to leave traces of the past in projection of the future, thus capturing different scenarios.
For the artist, the exhibition El viaje represents:
“Joy and pain have been essential to my growth, and by transforming them into lines, color, volumes, and textures, they have helped me form my own identity and appreciate the beauty of life in its entirety. Ultimately, every inner journey is a blend of these moments, and each one contributes to the unique story I am writing.”
The opening will take place on Thursday, May 15th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Santiago de Chile headquarters located at Avenida Nueva Costanera 3605, Local 102 A, in the Vitacura district (entrance through Antonio de Pastrana). The exhibition will be open from May 15th to June 3rd, Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
